Hot Cross Bun Cold Brew

The ultimate Easter indulgence, supercharged.

Ingredients

  • Ice (approx. 100g)
  • 40ml Raza Cold Brew Concentrate
  • 40ml cold water
  • Hot Cross Bun syrup (8ml or to taste)
  • Hot Cross Bun cold foam
  • Cinnamon sugar (garnish)
  • Hot Cross Bun with butter on the side

Instructions

  1. Add Ice
  2. Add Hot Cross Bun syrup
  3. Pour 40ml Raza Cold Brew Concentrate 
  4. Add 40ml water and stir
  5. Float Hot Cross Bun cold foam on top. (approx. 40ml)
  6. Garnish with cinnamon sugar

Cold Foam Prep. (Per Drink)

  • 40ml Thickened Cream
  • 20ml Full-Cream Milk,
  • 8ml Hot Cross Bun syrup
  • Pinch of Cinnamon Sugar.

Instructions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a jar, shaker, or glass.
  2. Use a hand-held frother to mix on high for 30–60 seconds until thick but still pourable.

Hot Cross Bun Syrup

  1. Combine 100ml water, 100g brown sugar, 1 cinnamon stick, 5 cloves, 1 date (chopped), orange zest (wide strips), and a pinch of salt in a saucepan.
  2. Simmer for 8–10 mins until glossy.
  3. Strain into a jar, pressing the fruit to get all the flavour, and let it cool.

 

Barista Tips

Tip: For a stronger fruit flavour, simmer 120g of raisins in the syrup
